Dear Parents,The children will take home their first narrative writing assignment, a piece of writing paper and a follow-up activity sheet tomorrow. Every child is required to:
-rewrite his/her story which has already been corrected on the writing paper. This allows him/her to practise writing good sentences. It is also the final stage of writing which is also known as publishing. Kindly spend some time to read your child's masterpiece and give him/her some words of encouragement.
-read his/her story aloud to a person of his/her choice.
-invite another person of his/her choice to read his/her story.
Kindly ensure that your child returns the three sets of paper by Friday, 6 March 2009.
For the first writing assignment, I have decided to present the 'Burger Award' to Prince and Kaigene!
-Prince has written a good story despite the fact that he has only started learning English last year. Keep up the good work, Prince!
-Kaigene made a good and brave attempt at writing his story in three paragraphs. He was careful in his work too. Well done, Kaigene!
